A family story<\/h2>\n

Domaine de Bel-Air is a family winemaking estate in the heart <\/strong><\/p>\n

of the Beaujolais region,<\/strong> overlooking its historic capital.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/a>\n\n <\/div>\n \n <\/div>\n\n \n \n \n \n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

1850, the beginnings<\/h2>\n

The estate\u2019s history started in 1840.<\/p>\n

Blue granite south facing vineyards<\/strong> gave the raw material<\/p>\n

for magnificent fruity and generous<\/strong> Gamay wines.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

1950<\/h2>\n

Jean and Marie-Th\u00e9r\u00e8se Lafont <\/strong>were the ones doing the entirety of the vine tending work.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

1980<\/h2>\n

Their son, Jean-Marc, joined them on the estate.<\/strong> His childhood was steeped in scents and fragrances as well as love for a job well done,<\/strong> taught to him by his parents.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

1986, the modern era<\/h2>\n

Annick and Jean-Marc took over stewardship of the estate<\/strong> and reinforced their aim to tend the vines to craft top notch wines, while developing a strong brand image.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

1992, integrated, eco-friendly vine tending
with ever more respect for their terroirs.<\/h2>\n

With passion and determination,<\/strong> they broke with the region\u2019s mainstream methods and, from 1992, formalised their use of integrated, eco-friendly vine tending techniques,<\/strong> always aiming to strengthen their respect for their terroirs.<\/p>\n

They equipped themselves with modern, high performance tools to fulfil their ambition: to offer wines that are faithful representations of each terroir the grapes come from.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

After that, they decided to grow the estate,
so that they can present a wider range of appellations:

With a goodly number of awards and praise from the best well-known wine critics, wines by Domaine de Bel-Air are now being sold in over 50 countries.<\/h2>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n
